TERMS and CONDITIONS

Organising an event requires a considerable amount of forward planning, time, risk and expense. Approximately 9 - 12 months
Prior to our events taking place, work begins and costs are incurred. These include administrative, insurance, advertising, marketing, equipment, website and staff costs. As an event draws nearer, we continue to incur costs, many in relation to the number of entrants in the event.
Conditions of Entry:
By entering a 1485 TRI CLUB EVENT (either online or postal) applicants agree to abide by our terms and conditions as listed below
Confirmation of Entry:
Cashing of cheques confirms acceptance of postal entries. An acceptance email from online entries confirms acceptance of online entries. A list of entries will be posted on www.1485triclub.com   prior to events taking place. It is the entrant’s responsibility to inform 1485 TRI CLUB if any of these details are incorrect so they can be corrected prior to the event taking place.
Competitor Withdrawal:
We Endeavour to make sure we provide you with the event that you have entered. If for any reason we have to completely cancel (not including alterations) an event, we will give you a full refund. As with other events (sports, cinema, theatre, concerts, etc), if after paying for them you have to withdraw, you will not receive a refund, regardless of the reason (injury, pregnancy, holiday, business, work, etc). However, if you do need to withdraw from any of our events, we are prepared to honour you entry into an alternative event at no extra charge or an entry into the following year’s event, provided we are notified 4 weeks before the event.
Event Changes:
1485 TRI CLUB has the right to change any event for the reason of safety without prior notice. This includes alterations to the event to include fewer disciplines whether decided by the British Triathlon Federation referee or by 1485 TRI CLUB. Please understand that this would be for your safety In the event of this a refund is not available.
Transfer of Entry:
Under no circumstances are applicants permitted to transfer their entry to another individual.
Race Information:
All information relating to all 1485 TRI CLUB EVENTS will be published on WWW.1485triclub.com   any unforeseen alterations to the course or event will also be published on the website as will individual start times. These will only be sent out to competitors by post if they have included a SAE with their application. It is the responsibility of all competitors to ensure they are aware of all information relating to the event.
Prizes:
Any individual who has won a prize at a 1485 TRI CLUBS EVENTS must either: Collect the prize at the presentation Arrange for the prize to be collected Make arrangements with the Race Director to receive the prize post-race day prior to the presentation. If the winner of a prize does not do one of the above, then that individual will forego the right to the prize and the prize will not be awarded to him / her.  
  
Completion of Entry Form:
Please ensure you take the time to fill in entry forms as clearly as possible.
 
Photography:
The promoters maintain the right to use images and photographs taken by their contracted photographers and employees at the event without informing of or recompense to event participants. These images can be used for promotional purposes as undertaken by the promoters and their partners, which will cover a range of possible uses including advertising press and media, printed information items, editorial coverage and any other promotion directly related to the promoters or their sponsors.
Right of Refusal of entry:
1485 TRI CLUB maintain the right to refuse or revoke entry to any applicant, where they believe that accepting the entry could prejudice the event, 1485 TRI CLUBS EVENTS, 1485 TRI CLUBS sponsors, associates or staff. This right of refusal extends to include applications where acceptance is considered by the promoters to be likely to infringe upon the enjoyment of any persons connected with the event, including staff, marshals, volunteers & other competitors.

Other info
Minimum age to enter any 1485 TRI CLUBS EVENTS is 15 depending on BTF rules.
Mountain bikes and road bikes must all be in a road worthy condition.
1485 TRI CLUB reserve the right to stop you competing if we deem your bike un-roadworthy.
It is the competitor’s responsibility to navigate the course correctly and safely.
1485 TRI CLUB reserve the right to change the course without prior notice being given, should the need arise.
Helmets may be checked at registration so make sure they are approved and in good condition.
It is the competitors responsibility to safeguard their own clothing and
Equipment at the event
Results should be on the website the evening of the event, or soon after.
 
Your details will be processed by 1485 TRI CLUB in full accordance with UK legislation. 1485 TRI CLUB may contact you with information about race events and services.
 
I agree that I participate in the stated event(s) entirely at my own risk and that no responsibility whatsoever shall be attached to sponsors, race directors or any person, or associates involved in the organization of the event(s) for any injury, accident, (including fatal) loss or damage suffered by me in, or by reason of the event(s) however may be caused.
I declare that I am healthy and have no known medical condition that could make it dangerous for me to take part in any sporting activity. By entering the event(s) you agree to have read and understood the above before entry.
